Standing and Walking (maybe)

Rebekah is quite the character. She loves standing and walking as long as someone is holding her hand. In fact, if you try to hold both of her hands, she'll pull one away. She is a big girl, and she'll make sure you know it in a hurry! She has taken a couple of steps on her own here and there over the past month, but she refuses to actually walk. On Saturday, I (Rachel) was holding onto the back of her as she walked. At one point I let go, but Rebekah didn't KNOW I had let go. She walked 18 steps by herself before she realized she was alone and sat down!! We repeated that a couple of times until she caught on to my little trick and refused to do it again. She is such a nut! She is obviously physically capable of walking, but she doesn't seem to trust herself to do it. Ah well. She'll get brave soon enough. It's funny because she's a dare devil in some areas, yet she's afraid to walk. She seems to be gaining a little more confidence each day though, so I don't think it will be too long before she takes off.
