Rebekah's Great-Aunt Janice sent her a little booklet where you are supposed to record the events of her first birthday as well as what she was doing and how she was growing at one year of age. There was a place for her hand print, so we got out the ink pad and made her hand print. She thought it was cool at first until she realized that the ink was "stuck" to her hand. Even after I washed her hand, it was still pretty black. Here she is trying to brush the ink off her hand!

Rebekah is almost completely weaned now. She has done very well with it -- much better than I had anticipated. She didn't care for cow's milk at first -- it has a much stronger taste here in India than in the States -- but she got used to it quickly, and now she loves it.

And here she is playing with the new toys she received for her birthday.

Now she has truly arrived as an Indian MK....she likes the Indian cows' milk. Vijay agrees that the taste is stronger. Amazing how a little baby can sense that.
