15 Months

Our little baby is becoming less and less of a baby and more and more of a little girl. It is quite amusing to watch her and interact with her as she grows. We have posted plenty of pictures of the past month, but here are a few more for the sake of you folks who really do want to see as many pictures of Miss Rebekah as you can get.
The above picture is of Rebekah with Noddy and Digger the Dog. They were birthday presents from the Lynns and G & G Waldock, and they are her faithful companions. =)

Rebekah has really gotten into climbing stairs over the past month. For quite awhile she was afraid to go down stairs, even with help, but now she loves it, and wants to walk up and down stairs (with help) for as long as we will let her!

Spending time with Uncle Vijay and Aunty Deepa has been a highlight of Rebekah's month. It seems like she instinctively knows how much they love her, and she took to them right away. If I tell her that they are coming to visit, she runs to the front door to see them!
Rebekah's favorite pastime this past month has been opening Christmas gifts. We mentioned before that we had her opening one gift a day for nearly two weeks. She really enjoyed that morning ritual, but finally decided that it needed to continue on throughout the day! Below is a picture of her asking to open another gift....
And the following photo shows her reaction when we said "No." Do you think that maybe she's had a little too much Christmas?!? She's a little TOO attached to this gift-opening thing!
Rebekah discovered BIG slides this month. She had been down the tiny ones before, but she had never seen one as long as the one in these photos. There is an open field near our house, and some of the businesses nearby recently built a small playground there. Rebekah loves it, as do the rest of the neighborhood children. We think she's going to be a little daredevil. She was thrilled when Nathan let her go down the slide by herself, scared as she was actually going down, but laughing as I picked her up at the bottom! She is actually quite a reckless little thing - constantly running into things or falling down because she wasn't paying attention. I am just hoping that she won't be as accident prone as her mother!

And, of course, our little lady is still as exuberant as ever...perhaps more so. She is getting very adept at communicating to us what she wants - both through her words and through her actions. She mimics much of what we say, although most of her vocabulary would not be recognizable without a translator! She loves giving hugs and kisses these days, and even gives "fish kisses." She recently learned how to purse her lips like a fish, and will sometimes do that while giving kisses. We call those her "fish kisses."
"Yay! We're going for a walk!"
