Rebekah really is a big little helper! She sets the table for almost every meal, helps me do the laundry, brings me what I need for changing and/or dressing Daniel (sometimes
more than I need!), helps me straighten up around the house, and many other things. Sometimes her "help" is more of a hindrance than a help, but she tries so hard and wants so much to help! She does genuinely help me in many ways though, and there are times when I have to remind myself that she IS only two and I can't expect too much from her.

She is such a little organizer. As I mentioned in the previous post, she has a certain way that everything is supposed to be arranged, and it
has to be that way! Everyone asks us where she got that from, and I have to admit that it's my genes....although I don't think I'm
quite as obsessive about it as she seems to be! Personally I think that in this area, she inherited her Great-grandma Hinkle's genes. =)
In the picture above you can see how she has categorized all of the plastic pieces, and lined them up accordingly. She does the same thing with the little table where we keep all of Daniel's changing supplies. She organizes and arranges that table just about every time I change him. =)

You can't see the bottles and things at her feet very well, but she had organized them in a very specific way. See the look on her face and how proud she is of herself?!

And of course she especially wants to help with Daniel. She is still learning to be gentle, but she is learning, and is getting better about not trying to hug him or rock his chair too hard, etc. Despite her attitude of late (which, I believe, is just part of her trying to adjust to our new life as a family of four), she is a sweet girl, and I am very thankful for my "big little helper!"

This post reminded me so much of my Kayla and her very special personality. It also reminded me not to miss out on this time of my little ones' lives too much even though French study feels like such a high priority right now. These are precious times, and they go by so quickly.
Oh and thanks for your comment on my blog. You were an encouragement to me as you have been where I am!
Oh...we loved this post! LOVED IT! God bless our little girl!
