I'm already almost a week late with this, as Daniel was a month old last Sunday! It seems like time is flying by so much more quickly with Daniel than it did with Rebekah.

He has really started to fill out, and has definitely lost the newborn look. Chubby cheeks and legs, here we come! I guess that's what comes of his love of food. =) He almost always seems ready to eat! He is doing pretty well being on a schedule though - as long as he doesn't wake up before feeding time.

Daniel is officially an American citizen now, as we received his passport and U.S. Consular Report of Birth Abroad on Tuesday. Before that, he did not legally exist on any continent! Now begins the process of obtaining an exit permit for him before mid-December. It is a complicated process, so pray that all goes smoothly.

Daniel's first smile (right at about four weeks) went to his big sister, just as I had expected it would! Rebekah is anxiously awaiting the day when he can "get down and play," but for now he makes her day when he smiles at her. He doesn't smile very often yet, but we all enjoy it when he does!

Daniel is definitely a cuddly little guy. He is usually content to sit in his little seat for quite awhile, but he also loves to just be held. Mommy enjoys that too, although I often wish that I had more time to just sit and hold him than I do!

All in all, Daniel seems to be pretty laid-back so far - that is unless food is not forthcoming as quickly as he thinks it should be! We are enjoying him, and are thanking God for the tremendous blessing He has given us in our little man.

Congratulations on getting the passport. We are praying that the paperwork will be easy to finish. He is a foodie....what fun!
what a cute little man!
It's ironic because when I was pregnant with Krista I wondered if I would love her as much as I loved Kayla -- I just couldn't imagine it. When Krista was born, I not only realized that it was possible but also that I LOVE having two! In so many ways, it's so much more special because of the interaction you talked about not just between parent and child(ren) but because of the interaction between the siblings! It warms my heart every day even when I feel like sighing about this stage of Kayla loving to have everything organized and set up just so and Krista in this stage of loving to demolish everything that is "set up." :-)
