As we did with Rebekah, we have been working on teaching Daniel some "baby sign language." When Rebekah was Daniel's age, she wanted SO much to communicate with us, but was often frustrated because she couldn't. A few simple signs eliminated much of that confusion.
About a month ago we began using a few signs with Daniel, teaching him how to say "please," "more," and "all done" for starters. "Please" has been the main sign we have been working on so far, because when he catches on to that one it should cut down on a lot of his demanding fussing at feeding times! (At least it did with Rebekah.) Earlier today he was eating some Cheerioes. He quickly devoured the supply in front of him, then looked up at me eagerly and started making the sign for "more"! At first I wasn't sure if he was actually signing, but I soon realized he was. I should have guessed that it would be my ever-hungry son who would learn how to ask for more before learning how to say please!
Daniel seems to be at an age where he is picking up on a lot of things very quickly, and it is fun to watch!
