"Mommy, I can't have ice cream today...."

Rebekah has been down with the croup this week. Loads of fun for us all! She's over the worst of the cough now, AND the worst of the fever, so we're glad for that. Even so, I was up with her off and on last night from about 3am until I finally just got up around 6am. Daniel seems to be at the beginning stages of it now though - both kids had the same temperature of 100.2 this morning!
Anyway, yesterday morning Rebekah was feeling pretty miserable, but still wanted her "usual" for breakfast - oatmeal with milk, honey, salt, and pepper (surely she's not MY child)! As she was eating her oatmeal, she said between coughs, "Mommy, I can't have ice cream today. If I ate ice cream, then I would cough and the ice cream would go all over the place!" Gotta love the reasonings of an almost-three-year-old.
