As we were starting school the other day, Rebekah prayed, "Dear God, please help the carpenter to come and do his work quickly so we can eat and not suffer." (Our kitchen cupboards have termites, so we are having them gutted and replaced. She was afraid that we wouldn't be able to eat until the cupboards were fixed!)
Last week we were on our way to church and had a couple of seminary students riding with us. Daniel had warmed up to them, so decided to sing them a song while he looked out the window:"Only a boy named David, only a little sling . . . Hey! There's a 'D' for Daniel!"
Hannah's not saying much yet, but she has learned that "Amen" means it's time to eat. Lately as soon as she hears someone begin to pray, she shouts, "Ah-mey!!"
