(If you are reading this in 2011, yes, I just now posted it, but it is from 2009. I just rediscovered it and realized that I had saved it as a draft, but not published it. I'm publishing it now more for posterity than for people to read...but if you happen to have run across it, enjoy!)
Yes, it took me a LONG time to get around to posting this. I had planned on posting more photos with this, but we'll just go with what we have!

While we were in Washington State in May and June, the kids (particularly Rebekah) got to do so many different and new things! Rebekah was only a few weeks into her first real trip to the States (I don't really count the 2-week trip she and I took to the States when she was 8-months-old), so there were a lot of new experiences.
Rebekah and Daniel saw snow for the first time. We drove up into the mountains and found a small patch of snow. It was actually much smaller than it looks in these photos, but it was large enough to sled, ski, and make snowmen, so that's all that mattered. =)

Rebekah also got to go kayaking for the first time. She loved being out on the water!

One Saturday we hiked up a mountain - about 4 miles each way. Daniel enjoyed riding in the backpack, and Rebekah was glad to be able to ride on the way up (we had 2 backpacks with us).
Coming down the mountain, however, Rebekah walked the entire way! Even though it was downhill, we were surprised that she walked all four miles on her own. She was quite the trooper and had a great time.
