Hannah at 13 Months

In Daddy's shoes

Hannah sure thinks she is big stuff these days. The photos I've included this month show you some of her personality and the things she enjoys. She is quite the little character who has a mind all her own, and strong desire to be in the middle of EVERYthing her family is doing.

Hannah is constantly into the shoes, as you can see in the photo above. In spite of dozens of swats on the hand, she keeps going back for more!
Coloring with Daniel
She's just started becoming interested in coloring, although she seems to prefer playing with the crayons instead of actually coloring. Rebekah and Daniel keep our home well stocked with artwork, and Hannah loves to look at their pictures and carry them around (for as long as she can get away with it).

Playing dominoes...seems she may have it slightly confused with American football. =)
Our little birdie on her perch
Hannah is in the midst of transitioning to regular milk. She wasn't very impressed with it at first - especially if Mommy is holding her at the time - but seems to be enjoying it more now.

Cool dude helping Mommy fix breakfast
Whenever I am in the kitchen, Hannah is there like a faithful puppy nipping at my heels. My sister-in-law calls her children and pets her "underfoots," and that definitely holds true for this little gal! She loves to sit on the counter playing with the dishes and watching me work.

Hannah and the men

Now that Daniel and his buddy Dipu have moved up from the church nursery to Jr. Church, Hannah is one of the oldest babies in the nursery. She is the only girl among several boys (4-5 if they were all there at once), and they are all quite impressed with her walking skills and bright hair. =) These two boys in particular are very good-natured and easy-going, and will pretty much give Hannah anything she wants (not necessarily a good thing!).
Playtime in the church nursery
Church fellowship lunch
Hannah is pretty much eating everything we eat these days. She enjoys almost everything we give her, including spicy Indian food. Her eyes water and her lips turn red, but she keeps coming back for more!

Hanging out with Daddy in the hammock
The photo above shows Hannah with two of her absolute favorite things - Daddy and a cell phone! When she hears Daddy come home from work each day, she runs to the door shouting "Da-da! Da-da!" She's always excited to have Daddy time - especially when she can also have Daddy's cell phone!

Hannah is quite the little tease, who loves to laugh, loves to be tickled, and loves to be chased. It's quite the riot to watch her try to chase Daniel or Rebekah. She gets so tickled! She is also still very cuddly, which is kind of nice, especially since her older siblings weren't nearly as cuddly. Plus (although no, I don't intend to spoil her), I don't mind keeping my baby a baby for just a little while longer!

those are some big shoes she is trying to fill!

I was reading about your sister-in-law (but I read it as 'sister') calling the children and pets "underfoots" and I thought "hey, that's like us....oh wait..." (in my defense I *did* get up early this morning). :)

Love, love, love these shots, Hannah! Perhaps a video sometime of you chasing the sibs and giggling? Lots of fun!
