Toothless 6-year-old!

 Rebekah lost her first top tooth today! She is very excited (in case you can't tell). She lost two bottom teeth shortly after she turned six, and each lost tooth seems to make her feel more and more grown up. This tooth was particularly exciting because two of her good friends have been loosing top teeth, and Rebekah was eager to catch up.

Her tooth had gotten quite loose but she was afraid to pull it herself. Finally today I told her that it would come out by the end of the day - either she could pull it herself (one slight twist would have done the trick) or she could choose one of the other adults in the house to do it for her. She put it off and put it off, and finally during dinner she looked at me saying, "Uh-oh... Mom?" Her tooth had come out in her food. =) Thankfully she didn't swallow it, though we did have to fish it out of a mouthful of food.

She has two other top teeth which are getting loose, and she's hoping they come out before this new one comes in so she can look like her friend Prathana who is currently missing three top teeth!
