Hannah has been wanting to ride a bicycle like the big kids for quite a while now, but hadn't had much opportunity to practice as this little pink bike was the the only two-wheeler at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Recently the grandparents house acquired a larger bike for the older kids to ride, which freed the little pink one up for Hannah to practice on. Seeing how much the older kids enjoyed riding seemed to be a big motivation for her, and she put in a lot of time practicing. She has always had great balance, so we figured she would pick it up quickly. This past Saturday she was balancing pretty well as long as someone was holding onto her shirt or shoulders. Sunday afternoon when she went out to ride, she took off on her own and hasn't looked back since! She was very sad when it rained all day Monday and she wasn't able to go out and ride. Today (Wednesday) it is sunny again, and she's been out most of the afternoon! Thankful for the "little" blessings of bikes to ride, a quiet neighborhood to ride in, and beautiful fall weather.
