If you have a hard time understanding what she is saying, it is 1 John 1:5-9 in the NASB (preceded briefly by Hebrews 13:1):

⁵ This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. ⁶ If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; ⁷ but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. ⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Rebekah's Scripture Memory

Children have such amazing memories. It would be a shame not to take advantage of that and help them hide God's Word in their hearts. The curriculum we use for homeschooling gives suggested passages for Rebekah to memorize. Here are a few passages that she has learned in the past few months:

Daniel is a couple of months into Kindergarten now, and has been enjoying it very much. Hopefully I will write more on that later, but for now here is a video of him reciting The Lord's Prayer that he learned recently.

Recitations

The kids have been learning some poetry in school, and Nathan took some video of them reciting last night. Rebekah also recites some scripture she's also been learning in school. The poem that Daniel and Hannah recite, Hannah had never actually said it aloud until the evening we took the video, but she'd heard Daniel say it enough that she learned it too!

Ephesians 4:32

Each week our kids have a memory verse to learn for Sunday School (both Rebekah and Daniel are currently in the same class). Recently Hannah, who isn't quite old enough for SS yet, has started picking up on the memory verses too. I often have Rebekah and Daniel take turns reciting the verse, and now Hannah always pipes up with "Hannah's turn?" Often by the end of the week she has learned the verse along with the older two. Here is a video of all three of them saying the verse they learned for this past Sunday, Ephesians 4:32. Now to teach them to obey the verse!!
