Rebekah has been a busy little girl lately. She is everywhere, into everything, and really starting to test her limits! "Two," here we come!
With Rachel being so sick the past couple of months, Rebekah has been a bit bored. However, it has helped her to learn how to play by herself a bit better, so that has been good. She has been doing a lot more pretending lately, and will often come to me with a "cookie tray" (usually a book) and feed me invisible cookies. =)
She has also become very partial to one particular baby doll, and almost treats it like her own little baby. If it falls on the floor, she picks it up, gives it a kiss, and rocks it. Her favorite thing is to have me sing "Rock a Bye Baby" while she rocks her baby. =) She'll feed her baby, change her baby, and discipline her baby. She's getting in some good practice for when our real baby arrives!
Rebekah's favorite passtime though, has been TALKING! She is talking non-stop now, and we (or at least Mommy) can understand her probably about 70% of the time. She is really into repeating whatever she hears. Often, if we ask her a question, instead of answering the question she will repeat the question! Her words are gradually getting clearer, which is nice for the sake of those who don't know her "language." =)
She LOVES to sing, and is finally starting to try to sing with us and do the motions for songs. Her current favorite songs are "Clap Your Hands," which she calls "Praise Him," and "Jesus Loves Me." She especially likes the motions "He is strong" and "Jesus loves me."
She is quite the little character, and we have a lot of fun together (especially now that I'm not feeling so sick!). Just a few days ago she started occasionally asking for hugs at random points throughout the day. When you kneel down to give her a hug, she will run over and throw her arms around your neck. Then she'll go back to the other side of the room and ask for a hug again so she can get her running start. =) Certainly makes a person feel loved! She has also taken quite the liking to Curious George in the past month. Most of the time she doesn't care about watching TV at all, but she has a 15-minute Curious George video that she will sit and watch as many times in a row as I will let her! She has always liked monkeys, but now more than ever.
In about two weeks Rebekah's Grandma Eileen (from the States) is coming for a visit, so I'm sure she will love all the attention that will bring! Rebekah hasn't seen her Rife family in a year, so it will be good for her to reconnect with Grandma. I'll be sure to post some pictures!

She reminds me so much of my Kayla. I love it how the pictures capture her personality (as much as a still shot of a busy little girl can).
She has definitely gotten so so sooo much cuter! Oh...hugs to you little one! We love you!
I need to visit more often. I would have known then that Rebekah has a sibling on the way. Congratulations you two!!!
Congrats on your new little one on the way! Hope you are feeling much better now. LOVE the look on Rebekah's face in the spoon picture! :)
