Fun at Camp

Rebekah had quite the time at Bethel's family camp this year. Last year she was only 7-months-old and didn't know much of what was going on. This year she had a great time playing with the six other toddlers that came to camp, as well as all over her other "friends."
On the way to camp - asleep on Uncle Sam and Aunty Marie
It was chilly in the mornings, but warmed up quickly!
Looking for pretty rocks with Nadia

We don't have much (ok, ANY) grass in Bangalore, but there was a nice patch of grass at camp. Rebekah learned how to turn a somersault all by herself!

And she's over!

Talking with two of her buddies, Mercy and Ahfing

This place had great tasting rocks

And the rock hunt evolved into a dirt bath

"This is fun, Mom!"

"Now let's put some dirt on Miku!" This boy is a favorite of all the toddlers, and he was delighted when Rebekah went over and sat herself down in his lap - even if it was just to throw dirt on him. =)

We stopped at a pizza place for lunch on the way home from camp. Rebekah and the other kids in our caravan had a great time playing in the ball pit!

I felt so encouraged seeing all the people in Rebekah's life who love her so much and are her family away from the U.S. I am getting so sad about our girls not growing up with their grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. although I know this is what God has called us to do and is only a small sacrifice compared to what He did. Head knowledge and heart acceptance of that knowledge -- two different things.
