I couldn't resist posting the photo below, even though it is a little blurry. It's blurry because she was so excited and couldn't stop moving! Ah yes, our little sanguine. =)
What is really amazing to me is that although she is SO busy with life and loves to have fun whenever and however she can, she is also very meticulous! When she is playing with certain toys, she has to have them arranged in a specific way. For example, when she is playing with her plastic animals, she categorizes them according to type of animal. In the picture below, you can see her playing in her room. If you look at the right side of the picture, you will see several small containers perched on a small shelf. I don't understand her reasoning for organizing them the way she does, but she certainly understands it, and knows immediately if something isn't the way she left it!Yes, Dora the Explorer is still a huge part of this household! The other day Rebekah was playing alone in her room, and I heard her exclaiming "Big sister! Yay!" There is one Dora episode where Dora becomes a big sister, and that (as you might imagine) is the favorite these days. The photo above shows Rebekah in her "Big Sister Dora" pose.
Reading is ever a favorite, and Green Eggs and Ham remains at the top of the favorite list - especially when Daddy reads it to her. Nathan has taught her where the words "Sam I am" or "I am Sam" belong on each page. Now when we read it to her we pause before those words, and she will say them herself. She gets a big kick out of that!
Our big little girl.... One evening Nathan and I were sitting in the living room with Rebekah (well, she wasn't sitting) just hanging out as a family. She decided that we needed our footstools, so she brought our footstools to us, made sure we put our feet up, and then went to get a footstool of her own. The end result was the picture above - she's sitting exactly like both Mommy and Daddy were sitting. =)Nathan was getting ready to take a picture of this family when Rebekah realized that a photo was being taken without her. Horror! She quickly ran to make sure she didn't miss out!
Rebekah seems to be the unofficial mascot of our Young Adult Fellowship. All of the young adults enjoy watching her antics, and she is usually more than willing to put on a show for them! In the picture above, one of the girls had put a scarf on Rebekah, and she was cheesing for all of the camera phones that came out for the occasion.
Rebekah loves it when we lay in her bed with her. The other day Nathan was helping her get ready for bed and he laid down on the bed. She promptly climbed up and laid down on TOP of Daddy.
Rebekah definitely has a mischevious streak in her. I guess that's unavoidable, considering the dispositions of both her parents! In the photo above, Rebekah was playing with some of her friends, and you can just see from the look on her face that she was plotting something. It turned out that she was getting ready to go pounce on her friend Mathew!
Rebekah is quite the little character, and we are constantly thankful for the gift and treasure God has given us in our gregarious little girl!

What are we going to do when our kids are older? We won't have anyone to to sit around and be entertained by:) I guess that's why we keep having more:) And I'm sure we'll be amazed by them when they are 10, 13, 16, 20:)
