Baby Update - 8 1/2 Months

Today marks 38 weeks, and we are now playing the "waiting game." Our doctor says the baby could come anytime now, and was actually expecting him to come 15-20 days early. That didn't happen, but I am definitely hoping that it won't be too much longer. There have been plenty of contractions lately that have made me wonder, but nothing substantial enough yet. Even though he has been "engaged" for the past couple of weeks, he seems content to just hang out for awhile.

Some of you may recall that at 38 weeks with Rebekah, Nathan took a photo of me sitting on the couch with a mug sitting on my built-in table. Nathan's sister reminded us of that the other day, saying that we needed something similar for this baby! So Jeannette, this is for you:

And one more....me teaching a verse at youth group - this because I'm tired of all the posed pictures.I am very much hoping that the next "baby update" you receive will have photos of our little one on the outside! Until then, however, we will be staying with Nathan's parents. They live much closer to the hospital than we do, and it will make things easier for Rebekah as she will be staying with them when we're in the hospital. We'll post an announcement as soon as possible. In the meantime, we appreciate your prayers!

In the best way possible... that is a serious shelf you have there! :) Baby boy waldock will be so glad that he wasn't left out of the shelf pictures ;)
We can't wait to hear more exciting news.

I missed the first picture, but that is so funny!

You are amazing -- having a baby outside the pampering US hospitals. I don't know what you did the first time around -- is an epidural even an option? How modern is your hospital? I'm such a wimp when it comes to childbirth -- had two wonderful deliveries without pain!
