Rebekah is talking in complete sentences more and more these days. There are times when I can't help but laugh at some of the things she comes up with! She loves to tease, and can be such a funny little girl - often without even meaning to be.The other day, Nathan was sitting in the living room studying while Rebekah was playing here and there. At one point, Nathan left the room without Rebekah seeing him. A few minutes later must have realized that Nathan was gone because she ran to me in the kitchen saying, "I lost my Daddy! What's going on?!"
Rebekah likes to show us that she is strong. One day recently she was showing off her strength for Nathan, and he asked her "Are you strong?" She said, "Strong like a mama!" We weren't sure what she meant at first until I realized that she meant to say "llama!" She had learned on a cartoon that llamas are strong and can carry a lot on their backs, so although it sounded at first like she was commending her "mama's" strength, she was actually saying that she was as strong as a llama. =)
Most of you know that our vehicle was stolen a few weeks ago. Rebekah has asked about it several times, and we've tried to explain the situation to her in two-year-old terms. Once when she asked about it, I told her that some mean men took it without asking. She thought about that for a minute and then replied, "Daddy have to grab it!"
This morning I called to Rebekah from another room - something I try not to do too much, but something that does happen occasionally. She didn't hear exactly what I had said, so she called back, "What'd you say, Mommy?"
Rebekah loves letters, so we gave her some magnetic letters for her birthday. The other day I heard her in the other room singing about "maggots." I finally realized that she was actually singing about "magnets!"
