If you are getting tired of these birthday posts, feel free to skip it. These are mainly for the benefit of the people who sent her the cards/gifts so they can see how excited she was about everything. I won't be at all offended if you don't want to see her open every gift she received. Rebekah is definitely a fun person to give things to! She collects rocks, and sometimes Nathan will come home with a "present" for her. He'll show her a pretty rock he found on the way home, and she gets almost as excited about that as she would a far more expensive gift! Anyway, on to the birthday stuff....

A couple of days after Rebekah's actual birthday, a package arrived from my Uncle Joe and Aunt Janice. She opened it at breakfast the next morning, and was excited to find another book with a CD to go along with it! She has received quite a few books this birthday, but she is sure thrilled about that. I have to say that I'm rather happy about it too because I've been starting to get a bit bored reading the same books over and over....and over and over again! But then such is life with a two-year-old. =)

She is very meticulous in unwrapping presents. She tears off a little piece of wrapping paper, hands it to Mommy or Daddy, then repeats the process. Opening gifts can sometimes take a loooonnng time!
She was thrilled with her book and story CD!The next day a large envelope came in the mail from Nathan's sister, Jeannette. I believe I've mentioned before that
Green Eggs and Ham is one of Rebekah's favorite books. Well Jeannette traced one of the pictures in the book and made a birthday card for Rebekah. It's up on our fridge now, and Rebekah loves looking at it and talking about it. =)

Last, but not least, was a package Rebekah received from her Rife Grandparents and cousin Kylie the evening before Daniel was born. The highlight was a new Dora the Explorer book. I think she had it read to her at least half a dozen times that evening!
