4-Months-Old!

This past month was a month of "firsts" for our littlest one. Hannah saw her first snow, went on her first airplane ride, crossed continents for the first time, had her first Christmas, etc. She's been a great sport about it all, and continues to be the smiley, giggly girl that we love so much.
Hannah loves faces. She will often have a dead-pan look on her face until she catches someone's eye. Then a huge grin breaks out on her little face and she wiggles and squeals. She makes friends very easily that way. =)

Hannah is my first baby to really enjoy tummy time. She's been able to roll from stomach to back since she was 5 weeks old, but she rarely does it. She'd rather be on her stomach where she can lift her head up and see what's going on. Just recently she's also started pushing up with her arms. She hasn't rolled back to stomach yet, but I don't think it will be long. She's trying hard, but can't get past that shoulder!

Hannah's first snow!

If we had left the States when we originally planned, we would have missed the snow. As it was, we got around an inch of snow the morning of our 3rd trip to the airport. =) Hannah wasn't overly impressed, but Rebekah and Daniel sure loved it!

Finally at our gate at the airport, waiting to head out

She did a great job on the flights. She slept well, and didn't complain much about being confined for so long. I (Rachel) was very thankful for that, especially since she was on my lap most of the time.
Hannah has become quite the little Daddy's girl. If she hears him in the room, she will crane her neck around so she can see him, and give him a huge grin. She loves her Daddy. =)

Hannah has become quite mobile in her own way over the past few weeks. She squirms around so much that she can work her way across the floor in a matter of minutes! She also loves to play with blankets, and usually ends up pulling them over her face (don't worry, we watch her!).

Blowing raspberries - another recent favorite pastime

Before we left the States, Hannah had begun sleeping through the night fairly well. Of course crossing 10.5 time zones messed her up really well. For over a week she was waking up once or twice during the night wanting to eat and play - thinking it was daytime. Then for several days she woke up during the night wanting to eat, but went back to sleep right afterward. As of about a week ago, however, she is sleeping solidly through the night, even better than she did in the States. She goes to bed at around 9pm and gets up around 7am. Makes for a happy baby and a happy mommy!

Hannah has been enjoying getting to know all of our friends here. She is very generous with her smile, so is endearing herself to everyone.

The Waldock girls on Christmas Day

Hannah enjoyed her first Christmas. Churches in India have a Christmas service on Christmas morning, and our church had breakfast together after the service, so she got lots of attention. =)

She seems to be growing and learning so much every day, and it is a joy to be with her and watch her grow.
