"I love my Daddy...so much!"

Yesterday I was working in the kitchen and Rebekah was doing her own thing nearby. She was singing to herself, and at one point I heard her singing (in her own made up tune, of course), "I love my Daddy....so much, so much!" She definitely does love her Daddy, and the two of them have a great time together - wrestling, kicking the football around, teasing each other, and even occasionally taking naps together. So here is a post with photos dedicated to Rebekah and the Daddy that she loves so much!"Wrestling" with Daddy

Waiting for Daddy to throw the ball

Catching Daddy's bubbles!
Rebekah must have run around the living room for at least half an hour chasing as many bubbles as Nathan could blow.Nathan was able to spend more time at home than normal during the week-long quarter break at the seminary. Rebekah really enjoyed having her Daddy around!

Nathan and Rebekah have an ongoing thing where Nathan will pretend like he's going to eat her food. Rebekah knows he's teasing her, and will even occasionally ask, "Daddy teasing you?" They both get a big kick out of this game. In these pictures, Rebekah was especially intent on making sure SHE ended up with the food because it was part of a chocolate cake that Nathan's mom had made. =)
My babies taking a nap together. =) Rebekah LOVES it when Daddy takes a nap with her. Aren't they a great pair?!

Aww, finally someone appreciates Nathan's teasing, especially about food :)
This is what we taught E to pray at meal times: Jesus, thank you for food, amen.
This is what our goof ball prays when she is in one of her moods:
Jesus, thank you four five, amen.

I love this talking stage!

That really is sweet. That is so like Dan and Kayla. Sometimes, I think that Kayla has got to get tired of all the teasing, but she loves it. It's their language. Dan teases her about eating her food and "Kayla doesn't like ____ so I guess I'll just eat it (about her favorite things), wrestles with her, and tickles her (and she's so ticklish). I pray the bond between Kayla and Dan stays strong like this even as she grows older and their communication changes.
